Director of Finance

in this position, you will lead a team of 7 employees

Result ares of the position
1) Business Management
The Director of Finance is responsible for organizing sufficient recording of all activities and transactions to ensure reliable periodical reporting regarding relevant financial, operational figures

Key activities:

•  Calculating and reviewing cost prices, (contribution) margins, and a system of cost allocation and charging, and managing the corresponding system for this.
•  Advising and reviewing the sales prices (and any commissions) to be set.
•  Financial assessment and recommendations e.g. regarding the profitability (ROI) of investment proposals.
•  Financial calculations regarding investments, such as profitability calculations and cash flow influences.
•  Review of revenue recognition and reliable invoicing for deliveries to customers and monitoring aging for timely collection.
•  Inventory analysis, BU consolidation and monitoring.
•  Payment as result of 3 way matching for purchased materials, services, equipment, etc., and monitoring timely payment in line with agree payment terms.
•  Satisfying government requirements regarding fiscal and statistic regulations.
•  Recording relevant financial data for compiling the periodical profit and loss account as well as the balance and cash flow.

2) Business Support 
The Director of Finance is responsible for providing advice regarding the broad field of financial/operational policy, internal control, result monitoring, and tax affairs

Key activities:

•  Supervising the Finance & Accounting groups.
•  Conducting assessment and career interviews with F&A employees.
•  Developing the department budget with the General Manager and monitoring it, both in terms of costs and income, and intervening in the event of deviations.
•  Regularly reporting to the General Manager regarding the Finance & Accounting group’s progress and bottlenecks.
•  Maintaining professional expertise of the members of the Finance team
•  Management responsibility for 7 employees.

Requirements:

• Educated at University-level degree in Finance or Business Management (University or similar by experience).
• At least five to ten years of experience in a (corporate) and business control role in the industrial sector.
• Meticulous, hands-on, independent, and analytical (company modeling). • Good financial skills. • Good Reporting & Communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English (oral and written)
