What will you be doing within our organization?

Due to the strong growth of our organization, we are looking for a Business Controller. In this role, you are responsible for developing, improving and implementing the entire planning & control cycle and procedures such as forecasting, Capex and accounting guidelines. You translate figures into plans and budgets together with the management and you help decide on financial strategic matters and the financial policy of HQ Pack Group.

You ensure that the organisation has insight into the various planning & control variables and you set the organisation in motion. You have an advisory role in which you ensure improvements, you monitor, you challenge the management, you see and appoint risks and you are always looking for opportunities for the organisation. By doing so, you ensure that the organisation can grow in line with its strategy.

As a Business Controller you are responsible for, among other things:

• You analyse business organisational processes;
• You draw up KPI's in consultation with the management and you report periodically on these to the management;
• You are responsible for cost price and investment analyses for the various private limited companies;
• You take care of (monthly) management reports and analyses;
• You implement structural improvements in the financial infrastructure.
• You are a sparring partner for the CFO, who is also your immediate superior, but also for the management of the various BVs within the HQ Pack Group and the Board of Directors. You cooperate with the financial controller and finance employees in the further professionalisation of the administration and the processes. 

What do we ask?

To be successful in the role of Business Controller you have the following requirements:
• A higher professional education (HBO/WO) thinking and working level, preferably a completed business economics, controlling or accountancy course;
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a controller in an international industrial or production environment, where you have extensive experience with the entire P&C cycle;
• You have a broad knowledge in the financial, legal and tax fields;
• You can handle project-based and change processes;
• Strong affinity with IT and systems (Microsoft office, PowerBi, Isah) which enables you to shape data well;
 • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.

 • You are analytically very strong;
 • You have the power of persuasion and you are pragmatic and hands-on when necessary;
 • You are inquisitive, so you are always looking for ways to improve products and/or processes;
 • You are critical, strong in communication and a bridge builder.
