Factory Operations Controller

As a factory Operations Controller, is not just reporting, but be involved in the business and ensure financial activities are in line with accounting principles, legal and Omron Group Requirements. You will report to the factory Business Controller.
 
We are looking for a professional with experience in management and financial accounting for the site Den Bosch. The Site is rapidly expanding and currently provides Manufacturing services (60M€/yr), Logistics services (700M€/yr) and R&D Services (10M€/yr) to Omron’s global businesses with approx. 450 employees. Aim is to continue a double-digit expansion as part of our SF 2030 strategy, in volume and variety of services, under your responsibility from a business perspective.
 
What will you do?
  • Support day-to-day activities of backflushing with operations to recognise material cost absorption for production billings and weekly update of the S&OP files
  • Month-end-close and quarterly reporting operations KPI’s dashboard and department expenditure, FTE, material variance analysis, freight analysis and reporting
  • Review Account Payables, Receivable, and ageing analysis in support of cashflow forecast and lead GRIR clearing to ensure timely payment
  • Monthly review of open PO, WIP and proposed freight, temps’ cost and other accruals
  • Reporting purchased Cost Down and Value Engineering to Japan, reviewed by the European Purchasing Manager
  • Management of Fixed Asset register, which includes updating subledger, Fixed Asset verification, depreciation, and impairment testing
  • Responsible for the CAPEX administration, reviewing Project documentation and reporting for all our investment projects
  • Align with various stakeholders (accounting team, engineering, planning and logistic, purchasing) in collaboration with the factory Financial Controller

What are we looking for?
  • Minimum is a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics related
  • CIMA or ACCA certification is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing and preferable in supply chain/ logistics environment
  • Familiar with ERP software is a must, and experience with JDE / Cognos/BAAN/ Navision and ERP transitions is a plus
  • Proficient with Excel is a must and other BI tools
  • Robust financial reporting skills (US GAAP or IFRS)
  • Good knowledge of business and operational processes Excellent understanding of Financial and Management Accounting
  • Customer oriented, result driven, accurate and cost awareness is a must
  • Ability to effectively operate, switch and communicate across all levels
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English
