For our client, Legrand AV in Weert, we are looking for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall development, oversight and management of the Company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This position insures compliance with all Company and accounting policies and regulations.

The EMEA head office of Legrand AV is based in Weert, The Netherlands. Due to the growth of the business Legrand AV is now looking for a Finance Manager to lead the accounting team in Weert. The team consists of a Financial Accountant, an Accountant - Operations Finance, a Reporting Analyst, and an Accountant - Accounts Payable . In this role, you will report to the Finance Director for EMEA and Asia Pacific and you will work closely with the Finance Manager Asia (based in Hong Kong)

 Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Manage the month-end closing process (including the monthly closing project plan and reconciliation in Blackline);
  • Manage the accounts payable function including vendor payments, travel and entertainment reimbursements, and intercompany;
  • Manage the cost accounting function including variance analysis, inventory reconciliations, and cycle counting programs;
  • Manage the accounting cycle for various monthly domestic and foreign payroll cycles;
  • Develop and document all processes to support our internal control program and to ensure that all company assets are properly safeguarded;
  • Manage the Indirect tax compliance (including One Stop Shop VAT return for Pan-European ecommerce activities);
  • Responsible for compiling supporting documentation for annual external audits and interfacing with the audit team;
  • Contribute to the quarterly forecasting and annual budget cycle;
  • Develop, implement, and enforce the policies and procedures related to the above-mentioned processes;
  • Identify and resolve developing issues and support an environment of best practices and continuous improvement;
  • Responsible for department budget preparation, analysis and administration; monitor expenditures; approve invoices and purchases;
  • Effectively manage, develop, and motivate direct and indirect reports;
  • Responsible for all aspects of performance management including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and recognition;
  • Provide effective, constructive and appropriate feedback and leadership to direct reports to foster positive, team atmosphere; ensure personal and professional development of direct reports;
  • Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures;
  • Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and the Company’s policies and procedures;

Job Requirements
  • Experience and good knowledge of manufacturing and inventory accounting and control requirements;
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization;

Minimum Education and Experience Required
  • Master or bachelor’s degree in Accounting with six (6) years of progressive Finance/ Accounting experience in a manufacturing / assembly / distribution environment; with at least two (2) years experience in a supervisor position
  • Experience 3-5 years in international business or Big 4
  • Must be available for long, varied work hours at times
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

You are based in Weert and the job requires occasional regional travel and occasional long-distance travel (to the US) as needed-not to exceed 10%
