Group Accounting Manager

Responsible for

• Group accounting, establishing the Group audited financial statements and support legal entities worldwide in accounting related topics and audit process. Responsible for individual statutory reporting and tax accounting of Dutch legal entities.
• Manages the financial shared services in France, Canada and Netherlands. Acts as one of the Global Process Owners Finance aiming at harmonization and optimization of financial processes and financial reporting as well as an effective internal control environment.
• Provides Management of the Group with financial advice, actual financial reports required to steer towards achieving the objectives of the Group. 

Are you passionate about:

• Establishing global accounting and reporting standards, instructions and design, in cooperation with Manager Consolidation & reporting. 
• Establishing the annual accounts of the group, implement efficient tools and process complying to the reporting standards.
• Supporting and advising Operating Companies in any accounting questions and take responsibility of local GAAP to Dutch GAAP reporting.
• Managing Shared service centers and support implementing and reviewing all systems and processes to ensure control, efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. Deliver high quality accounting and other financial services to the BUs, Holdings and Opco’s.
• Acting as Global Process Owner, focused on process improvement and harmonization of financial and reporting processes, initiate and execute operational excellence initiatives in cooperation with the SSCs and worldwide finance community.
• Ensuring that appropriate internal controls and processes are in place to prevent fraud and maintain integrity of financial information. 
• Managing the audit process of the Group in cooperation with Manager Consolidation & Reporting and business controllers of BUs and Opco’s; establish process of regular balance sheet review throughout the year and potential fast close process.
• Cooperating with Group Tax manager to establish correct and timely tax accounting and reporting /analysis for tax monitoring in line with the transfer price policy.
• Establishing individual statutory reporting and tax accounting of Dutch legal entities and fiscal unity.
• Managing change process of upcoming projects, such as improvements of authorization matrix with system permissions securing segregation of duties, potential implementation of IFRS and preparing for an IPO.

Do you have the following requirements:

• Education: Chartered Accountant or Master Degree in Finance, Accounting/Auditing
• Experience: 5-10 years of experience in an international business at senior finance level or audit firm, experience in project management 
• Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English. Dutch Gaap and IFRS, experience with local Gaaps
